I wonder if the curlews have seen the curlew icon ("Welcome to our beck") and have decided to settle down. When will we know?

I was wrong - four royals have "Louis" in their names.

They are still remembering Lord Mountbatten - three royals have his name.

I hope so too .... The new baby has been named Louis Arthur Charles to be known as Prince Louis of Cambridge.

It's always the way, isn't it, and we never learn - we think spring has come, put away everything warm and heavy, and then it gets cold again. I hope the cold is short-lived.

Good morning... it's back to winter next week with low temperatures. I've not long put all my jumpers away too....
