Spring Daffodils!

Hello everyone! Back in Autumn last year, we, and some locals from the village thanks to "Churches Together", planted some daffodil bulbs amongst our newly planted trees! (see Bulb Planting For Spring) ... well now that Spring has definitely come around, they have started to emerge and some are even flowering after this brilliant week of weather that we have just had! I thought I would go out with my camera and take some pics so that you can see their progress. Many are still yet to flower but nevertheless it was a lovely day to take photos... (There are a few extras at the bottom which aren't of the daffodils but thought you might like to see them anyway as I took them later on in the afternoon!) The third pic down (as if you were reading, i.e. second row, first pic) is also a clump of daffodils which were planted on muddyed's grave :)

 

 

Loved the photos of the daffodils Dan.. thanks for taking them.  The tree is beautiful too and the frog photos were a nice surprise... where did you find him?

 

Glad you liked the pics Margaret ! I went for a bike ride this afternoon and the toad was about to get squashed til I saw him at the last minute up on the moors! :) He posed for the pics very well then I made my path around him :)

Love the photos of the daffodils growing amongst the trees. The gorse bushes are a show this year - so bright and cheerful. The toad is a star - perhaps you should have carried him across the road out of harms way !

The toad was already "off road" :) he was sitting in a damp muddy area by a gate between two fields. He just happened to be where I was about to ride! Didn't want to pick him up he was a big chap *shudder*

 

I am an ignoramus, calling the toad a frog.  lol. 

Oh, Dan, thank you so much for these!  What gorgeous daffodils.  And oh my, what a lovely, lovely place you have to ride your bicycle.  It honestly looks like a fairy tale. 

Thanks Dan for sharing with us the lovely pics of the daffodils. I am so excited that the spring is on its way (finally) I love when all the trees and flowers start to sprout again after winter, it beings with it a new hope for the coming year.

Look forward to see the new lambs soon. I went to Anglesea the other day and there were an abundance of lambs. Lovely :)
