I just posted another video that I haven't published on my website before (not sure why!!?!) of our trip. It's been on YouTube for a while so those people who are following me there will have been notified about it but somebody today commented on it which made me "re-watch" it again and it is a gorgeous video and brings back so many memories.
The overlay music was exactly what was being played quietly out of the truck as we were wandering around the area so this video is a true insight of how it was to be there at that very moment. It was truly amazing and one of those moments I will never forget.
Watching this video back sent a shivver down my spine and I shed a tear as the memories came flooding back. It was pure peace. It is the second video down on my website below entitled "Near Puyuhuapi on the Camino Austral, Chile". Puyuhuapi was the region name and the Camino Austral is the long road that runs through the area.

Dan, That glacier video was simply amazing. But I couldn't help think of how the ice sheets are melting - our glaciers in the west are about 1/20 of the size they were 60 years ago or so. I have photos of my Dad standing on the Colombia ice field in Alberta in 1950 and there was ice for miles in all directions. When I saw it in '75, it had receded quite a ways and now it is almost gone. The Victoria glacier at Lake Louise has disappeared completely. It is very sad. But your video is splendid. thank you for sharing it. What a holiday you two must have had!

Just watched the two new clips - they are wonderful. I naturally love the pictures of the seals and penguins but the pictures of the mountains with the haunting background music are really magical. It must have been a wonderful experience to see such countryside.

Dan, the scenery is breathtaking. Imagine what it was like for you and Heather to be there. "Piu Jesu" is the music on the Camino Austral video. That waterfall is spectacular. Then the glacier and the penguins and the mountains and the .... Actually, it is difficult to find the words to describe your pictures and videos. Thanks so much for sharing.
