Liverpool Echo Lambanana Poetry Competition

Hi all. Ive entered the Liverpool Echo Lambanana Poetry Competition to win another lambanana, well have a go at winning one anyway lol I just thought Id post it on here so you could all give feedback and tell me what you all think. Thanks :) On a bright evening one Monday ââ.¬Ë.Follow the flockââ.¬â.¢ people did say So David and I Our eyes did espy ââ.¬Ë.Tudorlambanana,ââ.¬â.¢standing all alone. I cried ââ.¬Ë.The Lambananas have come homeââ.¬â.¢ So with arms held wide We hugged the Lambanana with pride Not content at seeing just one It became apparent that this had become quite an obsession Ten, twenty, thirty and more Our feet were walked totally sore Around the city and over the Mersey With map in hand I thought, ââ.¬Ë.this is quite easyââ.¬â.¢ Coloured brightly and standing proud The Super Lambananas always drew a crowd From chaise-longue to Lambanana-baa Supersteg-banana was my favourite by far Then one day the news was all affright The Super Caged Lambanana had escaped over night He had run far out of reach And was reported to be roaming on Crosby beach In August a mountain in Wales did beckon There was a Lambanana atop of Moel Famau to welcome From Loggerheads we did begin our trail Walked for miles but we could not fail The highest Lambanana was in our sight It meant we had to walk with every inch of our might And there Supermoelfamau-banana stood for all to see I had walked for two hours with a sore knee Then before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye All of Liverpool went to St Georges Plateau with a sigh Super Lambanana you made the whole city smile Do come back again and stay a little while.
