Another Website Update
Posted: 17 Sep 2008 21:37:38
Hi all - here is just a quick note with another website update for the HOMEPAGE and the CHAT PAGE. These updates mean that you can keep up to date on the latest news / clips and forum posts activity without having to press your refresh button!
Basically, in terms of the homepage, you can sit back and relax without touching the computer... as you do so, the "latest from the compunity" panel will update with the latest shoutouts and also the latest active thread on the forum. The "Latest news and events" panel will also update with any new clips and news posts as and when they get posted.... all this without you having to press the refresh button!
The same applies for the chat page on the links at the top of the chat panel... now you don't have to press refresh to see if there have been any updates... instead they will just appear automatically!
Have fun! :D

Oh I forgot to mention (there is always something!) that you will also notice some numbers in brackets next to forum thread links and on the chat page next to the latest clip and news... these numbers refer to the number of responses that this entity has received - so now you can make sure you not only see the latest stuff but also the latest comments and posts too! :)

Hi everyone - just to let you know that I have shuffled the links around (you may have already noticed). Now at the top of the page are popular content-related links while at the bottom are more "generic", info-related links.
This may be annoying to start with but this actually follows the conventions of most websites so should be quite easy to get used to...
You may also notice that there is a "Bookmark" link in the bottom right. If you like any page on this site, and would like to "keep" it either in your browser favourites or in one of many social bookmarking sites, such as facebook, digg, delicious and more, then this little button gives you quick access and functionality to do this :)
Finally, and probably most importantly, I have made the LambWatch sign a link to the homepage so now, wherever you are on the site, if you cliclk the big lambwatch sign, it'll take you back to the homepage.
