Hello from Germany!

My name is Daniela (32). I live in a small town between Bamberg and Nuermberg in Germany. Just found "lambwatch" today searching in google for webcams in Yorkshire. What a funny idea! I visited Yorkshire in summer 2004 and enjoyed this trip very much. The landscape is just amazing! I met very nice people there and a lot of sheep too:-). Hope I can be there again soon - till my next visit I watch them by your cam. That's really great!

Hi Dan! From my B&B accommodation in Skipton I visited from south to north. I saw the ribblehead viaduct, bolton abbey, skipton castle, aysgarth falls, castle bolton, hawes and askrigg (the filmhouse of james herriot)... Although the weather was bad these trip was just gorgeous! I recommend the Yorkshire Dales to everyone who likes natur, nice people and a quiet and not overcrowded region with tourists. Sorry, hope my english is not to bad...

Hi Dani :) You sound like you made the most of your visit to the dales - you certainly saw some beautiful locations! My uncle richard loved railways and he managed to get the ribblehead viaduct a listed building - I love it up there. Did you climb any of the peaks there? (Ingleborough or Whernside)? They are the two very large hills that overlook the viaduct. Your english is superb! :)

Hello Dan! No, unfortunatly I didn't climb one of the mountains - it was to misty and wet. Next time I intent to walk around more. Could send you a picture with me together with yorkshire sheep if you're interested. I don't know how to post it here. Can you tell me in which part of yorkshire the marlfield farm is located?

Aah - i bet it looked very atmospheric when you saw it if it was covered in mist! Id love to see your pic - feel free to email it to me - dan[at]lambwatch[dot]co[dot]uk (obviously replacing the at with @ and dot with . lol (i wrote it like that to stop spam bots from picking it up :) The farm is located right on the north yorkshire / lancashire border Dani, near Skipton which is said to be the "gateway to the dales". Did you see skipton in your time there?

Hiya again Dani - since you visited the Dales, it would be great if you could give your feedback on their website... there is a bigger thread about it
