Hello from Illinois!
Posted: 21 Jul 2008 00:37:40
Hi, I'm Nora, just found Lambwatch a few days ago, and I love it, what a great place! I'm a lifelong "Anglophile" too, and it's my dream to visit England some day, with a trip to Yorkshire in the plans, thanks to those James Herriot books. I'm 46, married, 2 teenagers, a nurse, grew up on a small farm, and miss the animals. We just have 2 cats now, but I'm pushing for a dog...

Thank you, Dan! I am enjoying it, I think I'm hooked. Unfortunately, it's usually the middle of the night your time when I'm able to be on, not alot of action there, except for the moths...but I'll keep checking! Thanks for the welcome.

It's funny hearing you say that all you see at night is moths because back in the day when I set the site up in February it was soo cold and wintery that there was never a moth to be seen and I distinctly remember looking forward to seeing the moths at it was a sure sign of summer :) Sometimes there are sheep under the webcam at night but not always. They do like to sleep this end of the field tho so there is hope to spy a sheep at night still :)

Actually, I did see some last night, Dan! One came up to the sign and had a nice long scratching session, and then I guess exhausted herself (I'm assuming these are all ewes?) and lay down for awhile. Then a friend came along and scratched over near the camera for awhile, and sniffed the bird feeder. This was all around 9pm, your time. Then I checked later, and one of the girls was sleeping under the sign. So, there was some action going on there during the night!

Hi there!! I couldn't resist coming to check this out!!
Nora recommended your site on another forum we're both members of, so I thought I'd take a sneaky peak!
Looks like you've got a lovely sunset there, has it been a hot day? It's been steaming hot here. I'm in Devon.
Can't wait to see the sheep come closer to the camera....they're too far away at the moment!
I'll check in again
