Welcome to England Helen :) I hear you landed safe and made your way to York on schedule! Considering the ash thats floating about you did well! Hope you have a lovely time in Yorkshire :)

Greetings from Micklegate, York!
A big thank you to Sue and all of you for your warm welcome over here, and thanks to those back at home who also sent greetings. I'm here, I'm recovered from the trip (after 12 hours sleep), over the jet lag, and I walked the streets of York today (feet are complaining). I love this city more than any other in the world, I think.
Off to Bronte country and some of the Dales area on Wednesday, and if things work out, to Marlfields!!

Helen, glad you have arrived safe and well in the UK. You like York best? Have you been to Edinburgh? To me thats the best city in Britain :)
Have a good time ;)

HI, Christine,
Edinburgh is beautiful but this is very special here, with so much history and so much to see. If I could die in York I would be happy, but right nowe I am just enjoying the gorgeous sunshine and all the sights.
Thanks to all of you - I feel as though I have an extended family here with all the lovely Lambwatchers everywhere!

Well............a belated welcome to England Helen......................now come on you Northern Folk..............share with us southerners........ some of the weather that Helen is describing!!!! We bound out of bed in the morning to bright (but chilly) sunshine and then by 11am it has clouded over and we are lighting candles. Perhaps she takes the sunshine with her?
I hear that Canada is suddenly having a cold spell!

Happy landings, Helen. I saw you on Lambwatch (or part of you, your head was cut off a lot of the time). The weather is beautiful in Surrey also. I have just been telling my mother about your travels and about Lambwatch. She hopes to learn how to use the computer once her cataract surgery is over. You might yet "see" her on here!

Helen,
So glad to know you made it safely. And I so envy you going to see the sheep at Lamb Watch. Take loads of pictures. Love & God bless you my friend
