A very happy Mother's Day to all the Mums on this side of the Atlantic. Have a wonderful day and enjoy a little bit of fuss over yourself, as you usually are the ones who take care of everyone else!

As a mother of two grown boys, who remember Mother's Day as it is ending, I had a wonderful day planting flowers.
I also kept a watchful eye on mother rabbit who has decided to build her nest in the middle of our back yard. Imagine how much fun it is to keep a beagle and a basset hound away from the nest.
Mother's Day is celebrated whenever a child brings a bouquet of sunny dandelions, or gives a sticky kiss or muddy hug, or gives an unidentifiable animal drawing to be placed on the refrigerator. Mothers, mommies, mamas, mums...no matter the name, no matter if we have children of our own or provide love to others...a happy mother's day to you, each and every day.
