Dear all well wishers... thank you so very much for all the lovely birthday greetings you sent me yesterday. Im sorry not to have replied before now but Im afraid I have a bit of a thick head this morning !! I had a lovely day and in the evening all the family were here ( including Dan who turned up unexpectedly in the afternoon) and we had a lovely meal which the boys prepared, helped down with rather large quantities of wine... It was a really lovely evening but this morning I have been thinking that now I am officially an OAP , I ought to be acting my age and having a bit of self control... but hey, I can do that on other days when its not my birthday !! Anyway, thank you all once again, it was very thoughtful of you !!

You are only as old as you feel, Lynda   (Some days that might feel like 25 and other days like 90.)  The medical people who are supposed to know are saying things like "Sixty is the new forty" and encouraging phrases like that, so just live life and enjoy every minute, and forget about acting your age.  Every minute of life is meant to be enjoyed and tasted and treasured, with laughter and good wine and family.    Being an OAP doesn't mean being all bent over and walking with a cane, so continue to dance and sing and carry on - in fact, the more carrying-on, the better!
