Congratulations, Canada!

To our Canadian friends and neighbors,

Congratulations on a great Olympics. I loved the closing ceremony's start with the 4th pillar being raised by the "mechanic" and being lit by the athlete (forget her name) who was to light it at the opening. What a great sense of humor.

And wasn't that men's hockey game exciting? Wow! And I'm not a hockey fan. It was great!

I woke up this morning with your national anthem in my head..."O Canada..."

Oh, thank you, Stephanie!  It has been a great experience, but I hope the rivalry between your country and ours remains a friendly one, always.  You folks are our neighbours and best friends, even if we beat you at hockey!  Canadians are not used to waving the flag and wearing our hearts on our sleeves when it comes to patriotism, but we changed overnight to being very proud of our red and white.  A good time was had by all, and every country sent outstanding athletes.  Thank you, tout le monde, everyone, for coming and making the party such a success.
