A plea for help

Hi all, last night Helen posted a sighting of an owl flying past the webcam! It must have been pretty spectacular to see.

Usually I keep an archive of all footage but my hard drive ran out of space and so I don't have a record of any footage since beginning of October so I have missed it :(

I am clutching at straws here but I know some people do record the footage of the webcam stream themselves (via RealPlayer or other means).

I am wondering if, by any remotest of chances, anybody watching the webcam from 6.30pm to 7.30pm UK time on the Sunday October 4th, was actually recording the footage between these times?

I would be surprised and very glad if someone did, so then i can pull the footage of the owl :)

I also saw the owl around 9.30 on the evening of September 30th - he flew down to the ground (beyond range of the camera) and then flew back up again within a minute or so, right past the camera on both flights.  This was about 9.30 pm, but I seemed to be the only one watching at the time.  Someone might have recorded that as well. Hope so.

Unfortunately, my archive footage did not get it then either :( Thanks for posting the sighting though - I do read them all and it would have made an excellent highlight clip. The only one we have of the owl was from summer last year when it swooped down to get some of the mice directly in front of the webcam. It gobbled them up while it was perched on the sign and can be watched again in the highlights entitled "The Early Bird Gets The Worm".
