Hi all :) Well the website is back! As you can see we are lacking considerable amount of data / news/  highlights / comments and forum data but it will be back.. Please, until I post otherwise, can you not post or login to the forum. Many thanks, Dan

Thanks to the wonder that is Google, I have now successfully restored all the news and highlights data - my you lot are a chatty bunch! I still need to get some pics back on but the data and comments are there. I'm going home now for some tea and after that I shall work on restoring the forum. Again, please don't post on the forum until I have done so as some of your accounts will be missing (I will post a list of people who need to re-register--- sorry folks - as the data did not have a backup of anyone who signed up at lambwatch forum since 10th May, all registrations after that have been lost :()

Hi all, I know this is a real pain as many of you have submitted your cam grabs, but rather than me searching through all the cam grabs you have submitted, I was wondering if any of you may have stored the "Bottle Feeding Pet  Lambs" cam grabs from the news post of that title.... If so, please could you email them to me. Many thanks,

Dan

Well I have looked into restoring the forum posts but unfortunately it is going to be a real nightmare as the threads will all be bitty due to the lack of member associations between the date of backup and the date of restoration.

What this means is that anyone who registered at the forum between: 27th April 2009 and 9th June 2009 will need to re-register.

I apologise for this and if I had taken more frequent backups this could have been avoided, but hindsight is a wonderful thing - we live and learn.... This does mean however that the forum is now open for business again and you are welcome to post away!

Known issues still to fix:

  • CamGrabs
  • Gallery
  • Time
If you discover any other issues please let me know or post them here.

  Hi Dan,

Sorry for all the mess you had to fix. I don't know why people have to be so mean! I really love the sheep and lambs. Your cam is such a blessing to me. I have been on for a while but didn't remember when I actually became a follower for sure. So I re-regestered. I hope it doesn't present a problem for you. I enjoy the chat with all the other followers of Lamb Watch. Thanks again for all you great work and time consuming extras you do for all of us.

Dan, stop apologising!  How would you possibly have known some yahoo was going to destroy your work?  We are grateful for everything you do, and if it isn't quite up to your own standards yet, we are still enjoying the chat room and a few other things while the restoration process goes on.  We've picked up a few new people, too, while we were on camstreams, which is nice.

And Sue, it is lovely to put your name with your face.  Now I will have a much better sense of you when we chat late into the evenings.

Well done Dan on getting Lambwatch back to normal again. You must have worked day and night so just wanted to say that all your efforts are much appreciated. Last night all my messages were going into space and not arriving on the Chat Page but I knew you must have been still working on the site - hope things are back to normal tonight. Once again THANKS.

Hi folks, all known issues are now fixed and so as far as I can tell the site is back working properly. If you notice anything that is not working, please either post it here or send an email using the contact page. Please don't be afraid to tell me if something is not working or not working as expected :) Thanks to everyone who sent in camgrabs and info for me to piece it back together again. I now have a backup system in place so if this ever happens again we can be back online even quicker :)

Thank you so  much, Dan.  Now I can continue to waste hours and hours watching your lovely site, but "What is life if, full of care, we have no time to stop and stare?"
