i now have 3 silkie chickens sitting on a total of 20 eggs lol..now does anyone with more knowledge think i may have to remove some?..thankyou..:-)

Hi Sharm, The bigger breeds can sit on 13+ eggs easily, but little silkies are probably better suited up to 7 eggs. We were always lead to believe that hens sat better on an odd number of eggs - I dont know if that's true or not but we have always done it like that. If you need any more help chicken-wise, post it here, or have a noodle at the hencam.co.uk forum or backyardchickens.com - someone will be able to help you!

3 of them are black and one looks a bit ginger..im checking on them again later ill let you know if there are any more
