It's not in the final position now, but wont be much different.
Just a bit dazed and confused for a few moments but all fine now.
Beautiful sky now. This is really a lovely view.
I used to see Lance followed by Jacob when the camera was n the other field. I quite enjoyed watching them - they had a regular route, even evening. But I hope none of the fights are serious enough to cause any damage. I hope Wispa was OK after the skirmish?
i may get them to come to the camera once we're in position, but I may not, dont want to get them any more excited than is necessaryreally. I will probably leave it, you will see them parading. Look out for Lance, followed by Jacob, it's quite funny
And since Boris was separated from his life long pal and brother (Monty), he's been hanging out with Wispa. The other two keep themselves to themselves, you may get a glimpse if you're lucky.
Jacob follows Lance around like a bad smell.
Lance sent Wispa into the air and off his feet the other day. Needless to say Lance won that battle.
They are all very handsome beasts, and they are getting ready for their time. Every now and again, they have the most impressive (but worrying) fights.
Pretty sky this late afternoon.
Rather partial to Wispa, too - I just like his name.
Thanks for the hints of what to watch for, Dan. I'm rather partial to Lance, who used to stare into the camera before he moved.
Yes the autumn colours are coming in quickly now
Oh, wow, a new view and my favorite sycamore is right there. Is it changing colour? It's not bright enough to notice right now.
Still need to sort angle and position, so bear with!
For now, this is the tup field, and at tupping time, if all goes to plan, the shetland breeding group. There are 6 tups in here including 4 adults and 2 lambs from 2017. Keep an eye out for Lance the big white Shetland, Jacob the light brown Boreray, Boris the white Boreray, Wispa the brown North Ronaldsay, Rocky the small brown North Ronaldsay lamb and Harry the small grey North Ronaldsay lamb.
